Knockout Christmas Report:

Knockout Christmas was a real top class night of boxing to top off a real good year for Dennis Hobson Promotions, We would like to thank everyone for their continuous support and hope you have a good Christmas and New Year.

Boxing Report:

Knockout Christmas went down with a bang and ended a great year with Dennis Hobson Promotions when each of our boxers picked up another win to there name.

Jamie Ward, David Howe, Sam Matkin, Hassan Ahmed, Lewis Taylor & Jamie Sampson all showed great boxing ability and all won there bouts.

Jamie Ward

Jamie was back in the ring with an opponent who he lost too back in 2009. Jamie was up against Jame Tucker who is no pushover Jamie Showed some good boxing talent and proved how far he has come on as the judges scored it 59-55. Jamie looked in good shape and his hard training certainly payed off. Jamie has been training with clinton woods and both Jamie & Clinton are working hard on improving Jamie's overall boxing & by the looks of it its working.

David Howe

A warm reception was given to David Howe who was back in the ring and up against Remigijus Ziausys who has faced the likes off Dereck Chisora & Sam Sexton. David's last fight was back in february against Hastings Rasani. As soon as the bout started David was in controll throughout and landing some decent shots all credit to Remigijus Ziausys who kept on going but David picked up the win and got the reception he deserved winning on points 40-36.

Sam Matkin

Sam was next up against Sid Razak, Sam has been training hard with trainer Sean who says "Sam's showing some great boxing ability recently and with hard work he has a promising future ahead of him". Sam's Last fight was back in october against Ibrar Riyaz which was his pro debut where he won 59 points to 56. Sam was determined to pick up another win and had a great support from his fans as soon as he entered the ring. Sam almost looked like stopping Sid Razak as he showed a good controlled aggression and was putting together some nice combinations and shots. This was the best performance Sam has had up to now and we cant wait to see what 2012 brings us.

Hassan Ahmed

As always Hassan brought a huge backing from his fans which must be a real confidence boost for the Darnall Fighter. From the first bell to the last Hassan Fans did not stop Cheering & Chanting. Hassan was up against Delroy Spencer who is no easy customer it was a real good boxing contest with both boxers landing and showing a good defence. Hassan showed how good he is picking up the points win 59-55. Hassan is trained by Chris Smedley and just like Nikki Smedley Hassan is very fast on his feet and has a great agility when dodging oncoming punches. Hassan has now improved his record to 3 wins 0 draw & 0 Losses.

Jamie Sampson

Jamie Sampson was up against Kristian Laight, from the first bell Jamie was on the front foot against a very durable opponent with lots of experience it was a great learning fight for Jamie but in our eyes he controlled from start to finish, in patches showing some shear brilliance. A vastly improved fighter all round getting better with every round of boxing and the referee's scorecard was 60-54 giving every round to Jamie.

Lewis Taylor

Lewis was up against Ryan Clark the busiest boxer in the world, but was given one of his hardest night for a long time by a fastly improving Lewis Taylor. Lewis seemed to hit Ryan with every shot in the book but as Ryan tried to counter with his big swinging shots Lewis defence and footwork was expectional to get away from all the oncoming punches. A Very professional performance from such a young inexperienced fighter which looks promising for the future. The Referee scored it 60-54.
