About Jamie McDonnell

Jamie is our European Bantamweight Champion born on the 30th March 1986 and from Doncaster. He is currently 3 times boxing champion with the European, Commonwealth & British title to his name. He is trained at Doncaster and fights at Bantamweight (8 Stone 6lbs). Jamie is a talented boxer with a huge backing from his Doncaster fans. The thing with Jamie is his work rate he constantly works throughout and delivers the goods in every fight, he is the most exciting fighter in British boxing today that is why he is ranked number 1 at Bantamweight in Britain & Europe and the top 10 in the world.

Career

Jamie McDonnell is an electrifying boxer and at the age of 25 has conquered many titles. Jamie's first title was the vacant English Bantamweight title. Then from there teaming up with Frank Maloney we organised a fight for the British Commonwealth Title against Ian Napa where many people could see Jamie's magnificent talent. Jamie then moved on to claiming to EBU Title against Jerome Arnould with a great performance after stopping Jerome Arnould in the 10th round where McDonnell dominated most of the action. Everyone can see Jamie's blistering talent after now defending the EBU twice, first time against Rodrigo Bracco in 3 rounds where Jamie simply out classed Bracco. Then defeating the young talented Stephane Jamoye which was one of Jamie’s toughest fights against a really talented boxer. McDonnell is now European, Commonwealth & British Bantamweight Champion after outclassing Stuart Hall with a great performance. Stuart Hall looked his powerful self however Jamie was in control throughout and dictated it in the ring, Jamie was putting together some nice body shots which hurt Hall in the latter stages. Jamie won the fight 115-113 116-114 & 116-113 McDonnell hurt Hall's eyes and body and Hall applied pressure throughout but did minor damage to the champion. Jamie is now the first Doncaster boxer to have won all 3 titles in his hometown. Jamie is now looking at his options to go even further in his career.

Next Step for Jamie.

Later this year or early next year Jamie will be defending his European Championship against number 1 contender Malilk Bouziane. A former world title contender who drew for the IBF Super Featherweight title in 2010. Jamie’s opponent has won 13 of his 15 bouts so he has lost 1 and drawn 1. We are now trying to grow the Jamie McDonnell franchise it is growing rapidly fight by fight so now is the time to join. We are looking to put together different packages of sponsorship to help Jamie reach his dream and goal of a world title but Jamie needs sponsorship to be able to concentrate fully on his boxing.
